The Four Book Series is an upcoming novel series written by children's and teen author Darren O'Shaughnessy, to be published under the pen name of "Darren Shan". It will follow the adventures of Larten Crepsley as he becomes a Vampire. It is thought to explain why he had a falling out with the Vampire clan, how he met Mr. Tall and Evanna, and how he came to join the Cirque du Freak and train Madam Octa. The first installment is set to be published by HarperCollins in the UK in late 2010, after the last book of The Demonata and the one-off fantasy book's are published, in late 2010. The rest of the three will follow during the next year and-a-half, with the final novel being released in early 2012.
